When I was a child it seemed everyone had their own version of an altar oil--a bottle of good smelling oil left on their fireplace mantles or altars. I was older when my mother told me what the oil was for--to "grease" the path. In old Southern, that meant to help the lines of communication between the ancestors and their progeny.
And when I was old enough, I learned the formulation.
I love my oil. As always, you can make your own, but I think you'll find my 1 oz bottle of Altar Oil pretty special. It's available for a limited time. To use, just put it in a small, open dish or bottle on your altar. Add a few drops every time you need communication with your people. Use frequently and liberally to watch the vibes increase!
