Community Health Jar – August: No Justice, No Peace

August’s theme is No Justice, No Peace, and the Health Jar begins with a simple truth: there are times when healing requires something to be made right. Stress, exhaustion, grief, mistreatment, and prolonged struggle can wear heavily on both body and spirit. This month’s work is set for restoration after the fight, strength while you are still in it, and justice in the conditions that have disturbed your peace.

This working is for those recovering from illness, carrying chronic stress, feeling physically depleted, or struggling with the effects of difficult circumstances. It supports endurance, recovery, mental clarity, restful sleep, and the strength to continue advocating for your own well-being.

The jar will be built on angelica root for strength, protection, and spiritual fortification. Hyssop will cleanse away the residue of difficult conditions, while rosemary will strengthen clarity and help settle a mind that has remained on alert for too long. Eucalyptus will be added to refresh and open the spirit, ginger to restore fire and vitality, and chamomile to bring calm where tension and agitation have settled into the body.

Each petition will be written by hand and dressed with Healing Oil before being placed into the jar beneath blue and white candles. Blue will be worked for healing, peace, and restoration, while white will carry cleansing and protection. Psalm 30 will be prayed for healing and recovery, alongside Psalm 7 for justice and righteous judgment where another person’s actions or an unjust situation has contributed to the condition being worked.

This month’s Health Jar centers on reclaiming what hardship has taken from you: your strength, your rest, your clarity, your energy, and your ability to feel at home within your own body again.

Suggested Alignment:
Light a white candle and say, “What has been taken from my strength is restored. What has disturbed my peace is corrected. I am strengthened, healed, and carried forward.” Give your body something concrete that supports its recovery this month: more sleep, better hydration, nourishing food, time away from stressful people, or an appointment you have been postponing.

To be included:
Send your full name, date of birth, and a short petition describing the health condition you want worked. You may also include circumstances surrounding it when they matter to the petition—stress, grief, mistreatment, exhaustion, recovery, or another situation that has affected your well-being. Speak plainly about what you want restored.
