Community Health Jar – September: Guidance From the Blood
September’s theme is Guidance From the Blood, turning our attention toward the wisdom carried through family lines and the people whose lives made our own possible. This month’s Health Jar is set for healing, strength, and restoration with special attention given to the health of the family line—what we have inherited, what has sustained us, and what we want to carry forward in greater strength.
This working is for those seeking recovery from illness, greater physical strength, relief from exhaustion, emotional steadiness, or support while managing ongoing health concerns. It is also appropriate for those who recognize patterns of weakness, stress, or hardship that seem to travel through the family and want to place deliberate prayer and healing work around themselves and their descendants.
The jar will be built on angelica root for strength, protection, and spiritual fortification. Rosemary will be added for remembrance, clarity, and the strengthening of the mind, while hyssop will cleanse away lingering heaviness. Eucalyptus will refresh and open the spirit, ginger will bring warmth and vitality, and chamomile will settle the nerves and encourage peaceful rest. A small amount of life everlasting will be included for longevity, endurance, and the continuation of strength through the generations.
Each petition will be written by hand and dressed with Healing Oil before being placed into the jar beneath blue and white candles. Blue will be worked for healing, restoration, and peace, while white will carry cleansing, blessing, and protection. Psalm 30 will be prayed over every name for healing and restoration, and the ancestors of each participant will be acknowledged during the work with gratitude for the life carried forward through their blood.
This month’s Health Jar centers on tending what has been handed down. Our bodies carry family history in countless ways. September’s work asks for strength where the line has known weakness, restoration where it has known hardship, and good health that can travel forward as part of the inheritance we leave behind.
Suggested Alignment:
Place a glass of fresh water beside a photograph or the written name of a deceased ancestor who cared for their family well. Say, “I give thanks for the life that came through you to me. May the strength of my people continue in me, and may I carry good things forward.” Replace the water regularly. During September, learn one piece of your family’s health history that you did not already know and use that knowledge to care for yourself well.
To be included:
Send your full name, date of birth, and a short petition describing where you need healing, strengthening, or restoration. You may also include the name of a deceased ancestor whose guidance and loving presence you wish to honor within your personal prayer during this month’s work.
