Community Money Jar – September: Guidance From the Blood
September’s theme is Guidance From the Blood, and this month’s Money Jar turns toward the financial wisdom, resourcefulness, and survival knowledge carried through our family lines. Our ancestors built households, raised families, created businesses, stretched what they had, acquired property, learned trades, and found ways to prosper under circumstances that often demanded tremendous ingenuity. This work draws upon that legacy of provision and asks that prosperity continue through the generations.
This working is for those seeking increased income, business growth, better employment, financial stability, debt relief, profitable opportunities, or greater security for themselves and their families. It also supports those who are building something they hope will outlive them—property, savings, a business, an education, or another form of wealth that can become part of the family inheritance.
The jar will be built on bayberry to draw prosperity and establish a strong financial foundation. Alfalfa will be added to keep resources within the household and guard against lack, while five-finger grass will bless the work of your hands and encourage favorable returns from your efforts. Cinnamon will bring movement and opportunity, patchouli will anchor lasting prosperity, and magnetic sand will draw clients, money, useful connections, and profitable circumstances. A small amount of sassafras will be included for money drawing and the steady accumulation of wealth.
Each petition will be written by hand and dressed with Money Drawing Oil before being placed into the jar beneath green and gold candles. Green will be worked for income, prosperity, and continued growth, while gold will carry success, recognition, favor, and financial advancement. Psalms 23 and 65 will be prayed over every name for provision, fruitful labor, and abundance. The prosperous and resourceful dead of each participant’s family line will also be acknowledged with gratitude during the work—the ancestors who knew how to make a living, manage what they had, build something from little, and keep their households provided for.
This month’s Money Jar centers on prosperity as inheritance. September’s work asks that the resourcefulness of those who came before you remain alive in your hands, that their hard-earned lessons become wisdom you can use, and that what you build now creates stronger ground for those who come after you.
Suggested Alignment:
Place a coin or dollar beside a photograph or written name of an ancestor you remember as hardworking, prosperous, resourceful, or particularly good at providing for the family. Say, “You knew how to make a way. Let the wisdom that fed this family continue through me. Bless the work of my hands and help me build something worthy of passing forward.” Keep the money there throughout the month, then place it into your wallet or savings at the end of September.
To be included:
Send your full name, date of birth, and your petition. Speak plainly about the financial condition you want worked—business growth, employment, increased income, debt relief, savings, property, financial security, or the creation of lasting family wealth. You may also include the name of a deceased ancestor whose resourcefulness or financial wisdom you wish to honor during your personal prayer this month.
