Community Protection Jar – September: Guidance From the Blood
September’s theme is Guidance From the Blood, and this month’s Protection Jar turns toward one of the oldest forms of protection we have: the strength of the family line. The people who came before us survived long enough for us to be here. They learned when to stand firm, when to move quietly, how to recognize danger, and how to preserve what belonged to them. This work honors that inheritance and calls for strong protection over the living.
This working is for those seeking protection from enemies, jealousy, gossip, spiritual attack, crossed conditions, harmful environments, or people who continually disturb their peace. It also supports protection over the home, family, children, business, reputation, and the roads you travel.
The jar will be built on angelica root for strength and spiritual guardianship, while rue will guard against envy, malice, and the evil eye. Bay leaf will establish authority and strengthen your position, and black mustard seed will scatter hostile intentions before they can settle. Rosemary will be added for remembrance, clarity, and ancestral connection, while red pepper will bring force and heat to the defensive work. A small piece of devil’s shoestring will be included to trip up trouble and help keep harmful people from gaining ground against you.
Each petition will be written by hand and dressed with Fiery Wall of Protection Oil before being placed into the jar beneath red and white candles. Red will be worked for strength, courage, defense, and victory, while white will carry peace, cleansing, and spiritual protection. Psalms 91 and 121 will be prayed over every name for refuge, preservation, and safe passage. The protective dead of each participant’s family line will also be acknowledged with respect during the work—the ancestors who guarded their households, protected their children, endured danger, and kept the family moving forward.
This month’s Protection Jar centers on inherited strength. September’s work reaches into the family line for the lessons of survival, good judgment, courage, and endurance that brought your people through difficult times. That wisdom becomes part of the protection surrounding the life you are building now.
Suggested Alignment:
Place a glass of fresh water beside a photograph or written name of an ancestor you remember as strong, protective, or fiercely devoted to their family. Say, “You kept our people through the troubles of your time. Help me remember the strength that runs through this family. Keep my judgment clear, my home guarded, and my steps wise.” Keep your doorway swept and pay attention to the instincts that tell you when something or someone deserves greater caution.
To be included:
Send your full name, date of birth, and your petition. Speak plainly about what needs protection—yourself, your family, home, work, business, reputation, travel, or spiritual well-being. You may also include the name of a deceased ancestor whose strength and protective nature you wish to honor during your personal prayer this month.
