December exposes what cannot travel with you into the next year. This Sour Ritual calls on the spirits who govern reckoning at the crossroads — those who correct injustice, expose deception, and dissolve the influence of those who wish harm.
This work is for those burdened by gossip, interference, broken trust, or lingering conflict.

The jar is fixed with vinegar to sour falsehoods, lemon peel to cut through deceit, and black pepper to pierce gossip. Red pepper drives heat and pressure toward those who persist in wrongdoing. Alum tightens loose tongues, and poppy seed clouds the minds of those who plot or pry.
Each petition is sealed with Reversing Oil and placed beneath black and red candles — black to absorb harm, red to drive justice forward.

Prayers are spoken for correction, exposure, and the turning back of any malicious intention. The goal is not cruelty — it is cleansing. December demands that no enemy, confusion, or harmful influence follows you into the new year.

Remain quiet and avoid unnecessary interaction with those who mean you harm.
Light a white candle and say:
“Every lie dies in its mouth. Every hand raised against me grows weak.”
Cleanse with hyssop afterward to remove spiritual residue.
